1. Who we are (data controller)
This website is operated under the name CareMatePro, which is the data controller of the personal data you provide through our services. If you have any questions about this policy or wish to exercise your rights, you can contact us through the channels listed at the end of this page.
2. Personal data we collect
We collect only the data necessary to provide our services, depending on which parts of the platform you use.
Account and login data
- Phone number — used to verify your identity with a one-time password (OTP) sent by SMS. Our system relies primarily on OTP and does not use passwords, so we do not store your password.
- Display name and basic profile information
- If you choose to log in with Facebook, Google or LINE, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from that service, and only to the extent you authorize.
Profile and listing data (caregivers / care centers / job posts)
- Year of birth — we store only your “year of birth” to calculate your approximate age. We do not store your full date of birth (data minimization principle).
- Gender, service area (province / district / postal code), skills, experience and service rates
- Listing photos and profile pictures
- Contact details (phone number, email, LINE ID) — these are private by default and are shown publicly only if you choose to reveal them yourself.
Identity verification documents (KYC)
If you choose to verify your identity to receive the “ID verified” badge, we store copies of the national ID card or related documents that you upload. See how we protect these documents in the “Data security” section below.
Other data from your use of the service
- Chat messages — the content of your conversations with other users on the platform
- Reviews and ratings — the comments you write; to prevent spam, we also record the IP address and time of submission
- Saved items (favorites) that you have marked with a heart
- Technical data — IP address, device and browser type, and cookies (see the Cookies section)
- Messages you send through the contact form
3. Purposes of use
- To provide the platform, display listings and match families with suitable caregivers/care centers
- To verify your identity (OTP) and keep your account and the platform secure
- To let you communicate with other users through the chat system and the channels you choose to reveal
- To review identity verification documents and moderate content/reviews
- To analyze usage and for marketing — only when you give your consent through the cookie banner
4. Data security
- Identity verification (KYC) documents are encrypted at rest. The decryption key is kept outside the web directory, files are watermarked, and they can be accessed only through signed, expiring links, and only by the document owner and authorized reviewers. Publicly, we reveal only the “ID verified” status (yes/no), never the documents themselves.
- Contact details are private by default — your phone number, email and LINE are not shown publicly unless you choose to reveal them yourself.
- Map locations are area-level coordinates — pins on the search map mark the center point of a province/district/postal code, not the actual location of your home, and your full address is never disclosed.
- We do not send your address to external map services — areas are converted into coordinates within our own system, and the maps we display are open-source maps.
- Tracking and analytics run only with your consent — analytics/advertising scripts are blocked until you click accept in the cookie banner.
Although we take reasonable measures to protect your data, no system is 100% secure. Please avoid uploading photos that contain embedded location data (EXIF GPS), and do not share more sensitive information than necessary in your listings or chats.
5. Cookies
- Strictly necessary cookies — used for login, security and the basic functions of the website. These cannot be turned off.
- Analytics and marketing cookies — used only with your consent. You can accept, reject or withdraw your consent at any time through the cookie banner or cookie settings button.
6. Disclosure of data and third-party service providers
We may share data, only to the extent necessary, with service providers that help the platform operate, namely:
- SMS service providers — to send OTP codes to your phone number
- Email service providers — to send system notification emails
- Facebook / Google / LINE — only when you choose to log in through those services
- Analytics and advertising services (such as Google Analytics and Facebook) — only when you consent through cookies
- Hosting providers that store the website’s data
- Government authorities when we are required to disclose data by law
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
7. Data retention period
We retain your personal data for as long as your account remains active or as necessary to provide the service. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data and identity verification (KYC) documents, except for data that we are required to retain by law, or for security purposes and the resolution of disputes.
8. Your rights under the PDPA
As a data subject, you have the following rights:
- Right of access to your data and to request a copy of it
- Right to rectification of data that is inaccurate or out of date
- Right to erasure of your data or deletion of your account
- Right to object to or restrict the processing of your data
- Right to withdraw consent, for example withdrawing your consent to cookies
- Right to data portability, that is, to request the transfer of your data

9. Data of minors
This service is intended for people aged 18 and over. We do not intend to collect data directly from minors. If you believe that we have collected a minor’s data without appropriate consent, please let us know so that we can delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services and in the law. The date of the latest update will always be shown at the top of this page.
